Football Recap: White Swan Comes Up Short

White Swan fell victim to River View and their airtight defense on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-0 back in September.

A big part of River View's win came down to the chemistry between Aiden Tyutyunnik and his top target Maddox Tyutyunnik. Aiden threw for 221 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes while Maddox picked up 148 receiving yards and four TDs. Aiden is becoming a predictor of River View's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

With the loss, White Swan broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for River View, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. White Swan will venture away from home to face off against Wahluke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River View, they will head out to take on Kittitas/Thorp at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kittitas/Thorp's defense has only allowed 9.4 points per game this season, so River View's offense will have their work cut out for them.
