Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Family Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cornerstone Family's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the New Hope Christian Phoenix an 8-0 shutout. Josiah Woodbridge was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Something new happened on Friday as Noah Packard saw his first action of the season, playing one minutes against New Hope Christian. Packard made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

With the victory, Cornerstone Family broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7-1. As for New Hope Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Family will head out to face off against Cair Paravel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Hope Christian, they will welcome Blue Ridge Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
