Wolverine B - South recap October 1, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Wolverine B - South this week, Edwardsburg beat Three Rivers 40-22. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Edwardsburg made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,845 from 2,239. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 40-22 victory over the Wildcats last week.
Three Rivers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Cottingham threw for 57 yards and Kyle Walczak had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Raymond King chipped in 61 yards.
Walczak was the best wideout in the league this week as JJ Wagner's team lost to Kevin Bartz's team. Walczak racked up 4 receptions for 24 yards.
Three Rivers' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cottingham has thrown for 621 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Walczak has 18 catches for 359 yards.
The Eddies are in first place, while Coloma is in fifth place.
Dowagiac led the league in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on the Comets.
