Basketball Recap: Front Royal HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Front Royal HomeSchool lost against Mountain View Christian Academy back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Front Royal HomeSchool Flames fell 42-34 to the Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors.

Despite the loss, Front Royal HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madeline Wobbe dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. That was a full 50% of Front Royal HomeSchool's points, marking the third time in a row Wobbe has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than K Dean, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Z Harbin, who had seven points.

Front Royal HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Front Royal HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 46-41 victory against Faith Christian Academy on the 10th.
