Mechanicsburg gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Triad Cardinals 64-36. The Indians pushed the score to 56-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had little chance of recovering from.

Mechanicsburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Colton salyers led the charge by dropping a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. Those 13 points gave Colton salyers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joshua Titus, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Triad and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
