Softball Recap: Orlando Christian Prep Comes Up Short

Orlando Christian Prep couldn't beat Merritt Island Christian on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Warriors came up short against the Cougars, falling 18-8. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

This is the second loss in a row for Orlando Christian Prep and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Merritt Island Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Orlando Christian Prep is taking a road trip to take on Legacy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Merritt Island Christian, they will be playing at home against Space Coast at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
