Football Game Preview: Kingston Buccaneers vs. Bellevue Christian Vikings

The Kingston Buccaneers will head out to take on the Bellevue Christian Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bellevue Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kingston, who comes in off a win.

Kingston will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up eight points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Klahowya on Friday. The Buccaneers managed a 38-33 victory over the Eagles.

Joziah Knight was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 153 yards and one score while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Nick Whitbeck was in the mix as well, providing Kingston with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kingston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Kingston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Urijah Woodward and Knight.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 43 points the game before, Bellevue Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell just short of Toutle Lake by a score of 8-6.

Bellevue Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kingston, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
