Volleyball Recap: Wisconsin Lutheran Takes a Loss

Wisconsin Lutheran lost against Pewaukee back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Wisconsin Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addy Abramowski had 17 digs and three assists. Abramowski has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Pewaukee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiley Eske led the charge by getting eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Eske has posted over her last 16 matches.

Wisconsin Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 29-15. As for Pewaukee, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-13 record this season.

Wisconsin Lutheran will challenge Milwaukee King at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pewaukee, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Waukesha South on the 23rd.
