St. Mary came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Goldwater Bulldogs, posting a 39-0 win. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

The critical scores for St. Mary's came from Nicah Caraveo, Dayshiane Prothro, Juliette Herrington, and Ariana Manning.

One reason for the win was St. Mary's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Eloise Mar was especially locked on to Goldwater's QB and sacked her twice. Caraveo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

St. Mary's now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Goldwater, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 victory against Thunderbird on the 30th. As for Goldwater, they will face off against Shadow Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
