It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Herreid/Selby had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Canistota Hawks a 22-0 shutout. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Herreid/Selby's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.7 points on average over those games. As for Canistota, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Herreid/Selby will square off against Colman-Egan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the C-E Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Canistota does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
