Football Game Preview: Emerald Vikings vs. Fountain Inn Fury + Official Tickets

The Emerald Vikings will take on the Fountain Inn Fury at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Emerald will be strutting in after a win while Fountain Inn will be coming in after a defeat.

Emerald is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Southside 55-0. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Christopher Dean had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards. Beau Hite was another key player, throwing for 200 yards and two TDs on only 16 passes.

Emerald didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyrell Wesley and Michael Holloway. Emerald got some further help from Jalon Dunlap: he picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Fountain Inn was beaten by Westside 48-21 on Friday. The Fury have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emerald will have to keep a close watch on Bojack Johnson and Sam Holliday, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fountain Inn's prior game. Johnson rushed for 86 yards and one score, while Holliday threw for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Fountain Inn's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Emerald, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

Emerald skirted past Fountain Inn 37-34 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fury turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
