Recap: Indian Lake Lakers vs. Northwestern Warriors

The Indian Lake Lakers entered their tilt with the Northwestern Warriors with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Indian Lake blew past Northwestern, posting a 81-40 win at home. Given Indian Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Northwestern is ranked 590th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwestern's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Shaffer, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Crew Estep, who scored six points.

Indian Lake's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Northwestern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Lake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Anna at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Anna is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Northwestern will be home for the holidays to greet Graham Local at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
