Basketball Preview: Del Oro Golden Eagles vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

Del Oro and the Trojans are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Del Oro Golden Eagles will be playing at home against the Oak Ridge Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Del Oro pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Whitney 70-66.

Despite their defeat, Del Oro saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Caden Pinnick, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jake Williams, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Oak Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Granite Bay by a score of 46-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oak Ridge has scored all season.
