Basketball Game Preview: Menendez Falcons vs. Atlantic Sharks

The Menendez Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Atlantic Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Menendez ended up a good deal behind Nease and lost 46-31. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sophia Scibelli, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakayla Newsome, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Atlantic sidestepped Deltona for a 57-55 victory.

Menendez's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Atlantic, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Menendez strolled past Atlantic in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 47-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Menendez since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
