Softball Game Preview: Appalachian Eagles vs. Meek Tigers

The Appalachian Eagles will face off against the Meek Tigers at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Meek will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Appalachian extended their winning streak to three last Monday. Appalachian never let Jefferson Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Appalachian let Baylee Musso and Sofie Stidham run wild. Musso went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Stidham went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Musso has posted over her last four matchups. Another player making a difference was Savannah Bynum, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Appalachian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .810. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Meek duked it out with Spring Garden on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 11-1.

Appalachian's record now sits at 21-8. As for Meek, their record is now 27-9.

Appalachian skirted past Meek 6-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
