Basketball Game Preview: East Henderson Eagles vs. West Henderson Falcons

Last Friday, East Henderson came up short against Franklin and fell 60-50.

East Henderson might have lost, but man, Kaylee Foushee was a machine: she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Foushee is becoming a predictor of East Henderson's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 3-1 (and 1-4 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Mamie Hill, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, West Henderson came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Knights, posting a 52-15 victory. The game marked the Falcons' most dominant win of the season so far.

West Henderson pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for East Henderson, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

East Henderson took a serious blow against West Henderson in their previous meeting back in January, falling 56-29. Can East Henderson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
