Tyner Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels by a score of 46-37. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Sentinels are ranked 131st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jamarion Dowdell, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and one score.

Dowdell was just one part of a punishing run game: Tyner Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 263 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Tyner Academy's record is now 7-0. As for Chattanooga Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Tyner Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-42 defeat against Nashville Christian on the 10th. As for Chattanooga Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 44-0 loss against Battle Ground Academy on the 9th.
