Soccer Game Preview: Christ Covenant vs. Trinity Christian

The Christ Covenant Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Christ Covenant's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Christ Covenant's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Gramercy Christian 1-0. Christ Covenant's winning goal came courtesy of Lydia Taylor.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matches, Trinity Christian finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to Community Christian. Trinity Christian have struggled against Community Christian recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Christ Covenant now has a winning record of 5-4-2. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.

Christ Covenant couldn't quite get it done against Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
