Basketball Recap: Iowa Colony Extends Winning Streak to Six

Iowa Colony waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 46-29 win over the Angleton Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Iowa Colony's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaliyah Rogers led the charge by going 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds. Payton Watson was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Iowa Colony smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 20 consecutive contests.
