Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Heritage Christian Warriors

The Cleveland Cavaliers will square off against the Heritage Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cleveland will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Calabasas, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Cavaliers managed a 44-38 win over the Coyotes on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Cleveland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daryl Bahingire, who shot 40% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most points Bahingire has posted since back in January. Melanie Paz was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Cleveland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian humbled Duarte with a 55-12 victory.

Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cleveland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Cleveland was able to grind out a solid win over Heritage Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, winning 59-48. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
