Football Recap: Verdigris Falls to Beggs in First Game of Season

Verdigris had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 20-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beggs Demons on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 44-36 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Ethan Hushbeck threw for 135 yards and a touchdown. Hunter Attaway was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards. On the ground, Peyton Morgan rushed for 71 yards.
