Port Charlotte and Chiles squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Port Charlotte had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Timberwolves. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-7, 25-8.

Chiles got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Joyner out in front who had nine assists and six digs. Those nine assists gave Joyner a new career-high.

Port Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Chiles, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-1.

Port Charlotte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chiles, they will welcome Archbishop McCarthy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
