Baseball Recap: Lutheran's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The third road match was the charm for Lutheran, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the Notre Dame Prep Saints by a score of 8-3 on Monday.

James Chumrau was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Chumrau was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other pitching news, Payden Joyce looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, Connor Sanders was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Jack Wesolowski was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
