Baseball Recap: Smithtown Christian's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

If Smithtown Christian was feeling good fresh off their 12-5 takedown of Amityville Memorial on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Quincy Gibbs put in work no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Smithtown Christian fell to 6-1. As for Amityville Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
