Covenant's tournament run continued when they took on Carter-Riverside on Monday. The Knights blew past the Eagles, posting a 73-23 victory. That looming 73-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

It was another big night for Luke Thomason, who went 12-for-24 on his way to 30 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Covenant's points. Caden Jolly was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Covenant and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 52 points in those games. As for Carter-Riverside, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Covenant won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Alvord at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carter-Riverside, they and Trinity Christian will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
