Basketball Recap: Coyle Comes Up Short

Coyle was the 40-38 winner over Covington-Douglas when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Coyle Bluejackets fell 51-38 to the Covington-Douglas Wildcats on Thursday. The Bluejackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coyle's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Covington-Douglas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coyle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-33 defeat against Ripley on the 21st. As for Covington-Douglas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-31 win against Canton on the 20th.
