Basketball Game Preview: Prairie Hawks vs. Kennedy Cougars

Prairie and Kennedy are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Prairie will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, Prairie beat Waterloo West 52-44.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kennedy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Jefferson, posting a 91-43 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Kennedy's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.3 points. As for Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Prairie was dealt a bruising 85-37 defeat at the hands of Kennedy when the teams last played back in January. Can Prairie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
