Basketball Recap: Pendleton County Piles Up the Points Against Pocahontas County

With a playoff win on the line, Pendleton County rose to the challenge on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 89-48 victory over the Pocahontas County Warriors. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcat, who have now won three games in a row.

Pendleton County had a senior duo take command as Chase Owens went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points and five steals and Jaydon Hess shot 83% from the field en route to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hess has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Henry Warner, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 12 points and six steals.

Pendleton County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Pendleton County's record now sits at 16-7. As for Pocahontas County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

As of now, neither Pendleton County nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
