The Southwest Roughriders will challenge the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Southwest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lewiston 60-6. The Roughriders' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Houston Billeter had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 80 yards and three TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Damario Koetter was another key player, rushing for 28 yards and a pair of scores.
Southwest didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Lewiston to a completion percentage of just 41.2%. The Roughriders have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.61 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.61 in their last three games.
Southwest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gage Hammond, Bo Truksa, and Brody Hammond picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller blew past Potter-Dix, posting a 62-14 win. That looming 62-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.
Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's win came from a few key players Southwest will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Chance Daake, who threw for 198 yards and three TDs on only eight passes, and also rushed for 53 yards and one touchdown. Those 53 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Scoville, who rushed for 125 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries.
Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Everything came up roses for Southwest against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller in their previous matchup back in October, as the team secured a 65-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roughriders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
