Baseball Recap: Leonia Comes Up Short

Leonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Becton Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-10 on Monday.

Leonia's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Becton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Leonia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 defeat against New Milford on the 24th. Becton has also already played their next matchup (against Wood-Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
