Football Recap: Marty Indian Braves vs. St. Francis Indian Warriors

A win for Marty Indian just wasn't in the cards on Thursday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by the St. Francis Indian Warriors 66-12. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Ethan Spotted Tail was his usual excellent self, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes for St. Francis Indian. St. Francis Indian is 2-1 when Spotted Tail posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-5 otherwise. Kenyon McCloskey was another key player, picking up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Marty Indian and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for St. Francis Indian, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.
