Baseball Game Preview: Hope Christian Academy Hawks vs. Inter-City Baptist Chargers

For the second straight game, Hope Christian Academy will face off against Inter-City Baptist. The Hawks will challenge the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hope Christian Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Hope Christian Academy fell victim to Inter-City Baptist and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Chargers.

For Inter-City Baptist's part, Kaden Appel made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Appel was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Josh Hamilton and Easton Anthony did most of the damage at the plate: Hamilton went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Anthony went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. Wesley Pfeiffer was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Inter-City Baptist, their record is now 2-0.
