Volleyball Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Crean Lutheran Saints. If the Vaqueros were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Saints when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crean Lutheran, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Irvine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Costa Mesa on the 16th. As for Crean Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Sage Hill on the 16th.
