Soccer Recap: Point Arena Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Point Arena and Mendocino meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. That's two games in a row now that Point Arena have lost by exactly two goals.

Point Arena has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10-2 record this season. As for Mendocino, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13-2.

Coming up, Point Arena will face off against Credo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Point Arena will need to watch out since Credo have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests. Mendocino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
