Baseball Recap: Westland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bishop Ready on Saturday, Westland came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Big Walnut Golden Eagles on Monday, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 on Thursday.

Westland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Big Walnut, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westland will take on Briggs at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Big Walnut, they will challenge Dublin Scioto at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
