Recap: Charlotte Trojans vs. Brackett Tigers
The Charlotte Trojans had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Brackett 55-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Charlotte has posted since December 1, 2023.
Charlotte was led to victory by Kadence Luna and Gabby Mata. Luna scored 19 points along with seven assists and six steals, while Mata dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Luna has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mariah Boyd, who scored three points along with three steals.
Charlotte has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-15 record this season. As for Brackett, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Charlotte will head out on the road to take on Falls City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Falls City is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games. As for Brackett, they will be playing at home against Stacey at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stacey is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
