Soccer Recap: Tri-Valley Takes a Loss

Tri-Valley was the 3-2 winner over Shenandoah Valley when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. One thing that didn't help Tri-Valley's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Tyler Mowery.

Nathan Hillard wasn't going to let Shenandoah Valley walk away unscathed as he scored both of Tri-Valley's goals, bringing his season total up to 24 goals.

Tri-Valley dropped their record down to 6-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Shenandoah Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Tri-Valley will be playing at home against Notre Dame at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Valley will be up against Notre Dame's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.75 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Shenandoah Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Palisades at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
