Skutt Catholic extended their winning streak to nine on Saturday, bumping them up to 22-5. They put the hurt on the Westview Wolverines with a sharp 15-7 win. The result was nothing new for the SkyHawks, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Isa Torrez looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddie Schmaderer, who fired off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Leyton Michaelis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Skutt Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

As for Westview, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-9 record. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 3.56 runs allowed.

On Westview's side, Ginny Holtorf was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Kadence Bosan was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Coming up, Skutt Catholic will look to defend their home field on Monday against Pius X at 6:00 p.m. Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
