Basketball Recap: Antigo Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Antigo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 68-32 loss at the hands of the Marinette Marines. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Several Red Robins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breleigh Akright, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Baily Heinzen, who put up seven points.

Coming up, Antigo will face off against Clintonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marinette, they will welcome Peshtigo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
