Baseball Recap: Rocky River Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Rocky River and Normandy meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Pirates fell 10-6 to the Invaders. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Invaders from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Rocky River has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Normandy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Rocky River and Normandy are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Pirates will square off against Buckeye at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Normandy, they will face off against Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
