Softball Recap: Peoria Takes a Loss

Poston Butte hit Peoria with a nine-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers came up short against the Broncos, falling 16-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 19-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Anieah Lewis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Poston Butte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Peoria didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 win against Washington on the 6th. As for Poston Butte, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-4 loss against Coconino on the 6th.
