While Leon's victory against Chester wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Yellowjackets 5-4. The victory was just business as usual for the Cougars, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Cooper Stevens was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Rohrer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Leon's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Leon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 victory against Apple Springs on the 27th. As for Chester, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-3 win against Oakwood on the 27th.
