Basketball Recap: Crane Comes Up Short

Crane was the 55-40 winner over Fort Stockton when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Crane Cranes fell 71-61 to the Fort Stockton Panthers on Tuesday.

Fort Stockton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jondrey Reyes, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 25 points. Reyes' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deigo (Oscar) Ronquillo, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Crane dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fort Stockton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.

Crane will be taking part in a tournament against Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Stockton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Compass Academy at 6:30 p.m.
