Football Recap: Barnstable Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Barnstable had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Doherty Memorial Highlanders by a score of 21-14 on Friday. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Red Hawks have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Barnstable's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.5 points on average over those games. As for Doherty Memorial, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5.
