Basketball Recap: Red Lake County Central Comes Up Short

It was fun while it lasted, but Red Lake County Central's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Ada-Borup Cougars by a score of 66-64. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

It was another big night for Austin McCraven, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for Ada-Borup. The match was McCraven's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cadyn Dahl, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Red Lake County Central fell to 3-1. As for Ada-Borup, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Red Lake County Central will head out on the road to challenge Clearbrook-Gonvick at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Red Lake County Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Clearbrook-Gonvick likes a good challenge. As for Ada-Borup, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
