Football Recap: Whitman Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Whitman fell victim to Paint Branch and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 61-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Hicham El Ghormli threw for 64 yards on seven of 18 attempts.

Paint Branch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Vincent Do out in front who threw for 276 yards and four TDs on only 11 passes. Those 276 passing yards gave Do a new career-high. Michael Boateng was another key receiver, picking up 167 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Whitman now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Paint Branch, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Whitman will head out to take on Walter Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Paint Branch, they will welcome Blake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 8, the Bengals 11.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
