Volleyball Recap: Lakeview Charter Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Lakeview Charter took on Kennedy on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kennedy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Miranda Diaz out in front who had ten aces. Those ten aces gave Diaz a new career-high. Aliah Richards was another key player, getting five digs and five aces.

Lakeview Charter's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Kennedy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Lakeview Charter will square off against Arleta at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kennedy, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Legacy at 9:00 a.m.
