Football Game Preview: Whitefish Bulldogs vs. Frenchtown Broncs + How To Watch

Whitefish and Frenchtown are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Broncs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Whitefish comes in on four and Frenchtown on seven.

Whitefish is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Laurel by a score of 27-20.

Whitefish's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Dalen, who rushed for 172 yards and three TDs. Those 172 rushing yards gave Dalen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vlad Shestak, who gained 110 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Whitefish was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 336 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Frenchtown faced Fergus in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Broncs snuck past the Golden Eagles with a 25-21 win.

Whitefish better keep an eye on Cole Johnson. He was instrumental in Frenchtown's win, rushing for 150 yards and one score, while also picking up 65 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Whitefish's record now sits at 8-2. As for Frenchtown, their record is now 9-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Whitefish has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 206.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Frenchtown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 197.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Whitefish beat Frenchtown 24-13 in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
