Volleyball Recap: Natick Redhawks vs. Newton South Lions
After flying high against Framingham on Thursday, Natick came back down to earth. The Redhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton South Lions on Friday. The Redhawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-17, 25-12.
Natick's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ruby Jasper, who had 16 assists and four digs. Another player making a difference was Lillian Chung, who had ten assists and seven digs.
Natalie Huang had an outrageously good game for Newton South as she had 20 digs and four aces. With that strong performance, Huang is now averaging an impressive 13.5 digs per game.
