Baseball Recap: Wilson Falls to Baldwin Park in First Game of Season

Wilson kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Baldwin Park Braves by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 5, 2024.

Wilson got a good showing from Robert Drieslein, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Joshua Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baldwin Park, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Montclair at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
